I have absolute envy when it comes to star’s and their beach style waves. Even though I’m sitting now in a messy bun (aka: gym hair) I can’t wait to wash it and try to replicate some of these looks for the millionth time. I wish I knew how they got them so smooth and shiny.
Celebrity Spotlight: Nicole Richie
Over the past few years Nicole Richie has earned a huge place in my heart. Watching her transform from a party girl to the amazing woman she is now, has been amazing. Her daughter and son are absolutely adorable, and she seems like such a great mom. Her style is very much her own, and as she launches her Winter Kate line I’m excited to see what happens!

Friday Night Downtown
On Friday night a group of friends went out to celebrate my good friend Heather’s birthday. We decided to go to a fondue place that is next to the restaurant owned by former Bachelor contestant Aaron Buerge. It was extremely cramped because of first Friday Artwalk so we did a lot of walking!
We had a wonderful time, and couldn’t get over how good the white chocolate raspberry dessert was! The drinks were delicious as well. I love exploring new restaurants and I can’t wait to try another new one!

Designer Spotlight: Brian Atwood
Brian Atwood is actually an ex-model who designed Versace’s footwear until he started his own brand in 2001. His shoes are primarily statement pieces to me with the studding, PVC cutouts, and jewel incrusting. Hands down they are absolutely gorgeous!

Style Spotlight: Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is an absolutely beautiful woman. I know she got her start as a stylist and as a closet organizer (I would love that job!) and she obviously knows her way around fashion. Lately, I have found myself falling in love with her style because she isn’t afraid to embrace her curves.
Kim likes to mix feminine pieces with more masculine jackets and structured blazers. I think this gives her an edge that is undeniable. She isn’t afraid to take a risk or two and I adore her confidence.

Looks I Love: Primetime Emmy Awards 2010
I absolutely love award shows! Haute couture gowns, gowns, mini-dresses they’re all so absolutely gorgeous!
These are looks I absolutely love from this year’s 2010 Primetime Emmy awards show. These were just a few I loved, including Nina Dobrev above in Zuhair Murad. January Jones was absolutely my winner for best dressed, her bright blue Versace gown is absolutely stunning!

Fall/Winter 2010 Trend Watch: Nail Polishes
While I can’t paint my fingernails because of my future profession, I still can’t help from buying various polishes. Luckily pedicures aren’t outlawed for me, so I can indulge a little in the latest nail trends. Fall/Winter 2010 seems to be about the reds, grey colored plums, and sparkles. Some are holograms (seriously)! Which just blows my mind.
It seems as if everywhere I look people are raving about the Chanel Paradoxal color, which is in the top of this post. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous and it makes me anxious for holiday parties. Butter has an ode to the late Alexander McQueen with their All Hail McQueen (a beautiful gold) and Bumster (a dijon yellow). I’m most in love with their purple Marrow color. And OPI took inspiration from the Swiss! Their collection is filled with various reds and blues, with some surprising colors thrown in.
Overall, I love these fall and winter colors, especially the purples and golds. I can’t wait to find some of these colors and try them out sooner rather than later.

Review: Juicy Couture Lock-It Larchmont Leather Shoulder Bag
I got this Lock-It Larchmont Leather Shoulder Bag from Saks.com in late February. I had been eyeing it since before Christmas and it had finally went on sale. I was so excited when I got it, and I immediately started carrying it. Within two weeks the front panel had a place in the leather that was weak enough that if I caught it on anything it would tear a hole. Luckily that hasn’t happened, but the spot is so thin it wouldn’t take much.
Also parts of this bag have begun to turn blue! I’m not certain why this is happening. I took it to a leather repair shop and they thought it was the dye that was used. They also checked the weak spot and told me there was nothing that could be done. While the bottom of the bag is in excellent condition because I always hang my purses, these spots just can’t be explained.
Another problem I’ve had has been with rain. The rain stains the bag if it even gets one drop on it. I didn’t have a jacket to stuff it in one day and so I had to run to my car, these water spots have faded a bit but if you look close they’re still there.
This all being said, I love the interior of the bag! It’s so roomy, and the lovely purple color compliments the neutral beige tone so well. The pockets are handy and the shape is wonderful. Overall I was severely disappointed with this purse, and I know I’m not the only one. A friend has the exact same one and her’s has turned blue worse than mine has.
